I was staying in Santa Monica, on this date, fifteen years ago. One evening I was walking home and in front of the house I spotted this snail on the sidewalk. I needed a flash for this shot, so I ran into the house to get my flash and off-camera cord. Fortunately, the guy was slow moving, as snails tend to be. I laid on the ground to get proper perspective, held the flash above him and took this photograph.Hope some of you are not too grossed out by this (I have heard that in the past).
