I took this photograph in 2009, at Zion National Park. I really liked the moving water, textures and highlights. The water was a muddy brown, which I felt detracted from the image, so I converted it to black & white.

For those interested in technical details, I used a slow shutter speed (1/15th of a second, handheld) to create the movement blur of the water. I used a flash to add highlights and freeze some water movement. I also applied a special ethereal-glow technique to the image in Photoshop.
