Virgin, Utah - February 23, 2009

I shot this fifteen years ago, today, while visiting my friend, Jeff Lewis. He lives in this beautiful place.

This spot is down the cliff from his house. Jeff and I started a freelance photography business way back in the late ’60s. We love to go on photo shoots together and Utah is incredible for photography. You can almost point your camera in any direction and get a fantastic picture.

Jeff’s home is less than 20 miles from Zion National Park.

Wow! On this day, back in 1945 the U.S. Marines raised the flag on Iwo Jima.
